A 70-year-old man serving life term in the Central Jail here died during treatment at BHU's Sir Sunder Lal Hospital, police said today.
Jail Superintendent Sanjeev Tripathi said Jagdish Musafir, native of Deoria district, was serving a life term in the Varanasi Central Jail here.
Both his kidneys were damaged and he was getting dialysis treatment done thrice a week at BHU hospital where he died yesterday.

He was awarded life sentence by a local court in his native district in a murder case onAugust 28, 2004. He was transferred from Deoria jail to Varanasi Central jail on December 4, 2005, Tripathi said.
Police have sent the body for post mortem and further investigations are underway.
