Copra Rajapur advances in muted trade

Copra Rajapur Mumbai advanced in an otherwise muted spices market here on Tuesday owing to sustained demand from stockists and retailers.

While, rest all other spices ruled steady in absence of necessary buying support.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai surged by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 21,500 from Monday's closing level of Rs 21,200.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 380/425 (380/425), ginger unbleached (per kg) 210 (210), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 11,200 (11,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 11,000 (11,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 21,500 (21,200), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 14,700 (14,700).
