Coriander, jeera prices fall on sluggish demand

Coriander and jeera prices dropped by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today owing to low demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Besides, a weak trend in futures market also put pressure on the select spice prices.
Coriander prices fell by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 10,700-15,700 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also drifted by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 15,900-16,400 and Rs 19,900-20,400 per quintal.
Marketmen said muted demand from retailers and stockists at higher levels against sufficient stocks, mainly pulled down coriander and jeera prices.
