Cottonseed oil declines in thin trade

Barring a fall in cottonseed oil prices on sluggish demand, other edible and non-edible oils remained steady at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today.

Traders said sluggish demand from retailers mainly led to the fall in cottonseed oil prices.

In the national capital, cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil traded lower by Rs 50 to Rs 6,150 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations per quintal:

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,060-1,290.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,200, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,250-1,350, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 6,550, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,100-1,150, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,150-1,250,sesame mill delivery 9,000 Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,900, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,600, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,550, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,150, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,200, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,000 and Coconut (per tin) 2,650-2,780.
 

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,700, Castor 9,450-9,550, Neem 5,300-5,400.

Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175.
