Couple commits suicide

A middle-aged labourer couple, who have been living together for a few months now away from their respective spouses, allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in west Delhi, police said today. Prembai and Jainarayan, both in their 40s, loved alcohol and it was their common interest towards drinking that brought them together. Both had been living together in a small accommodation near Mundka area. The couple was found in an unconscious state at their slum cluster this morning and locals informed police who rushed them to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital where doctors declared them dead. No suicide note was recovered from their possession but police came to know through locals that the duo were married to different people but were living-in with each other for several months. Neighbours told police that the man had moved with the woman a few months back and both were fond of consuming liquor. They also told police that the spouses of both people had come to their small house in the recent past and made ruckus.
