Couple murdered in UP

A married woman and her lover, who

had eloped over a year ago, were allegedly killed in Kaushambi district by the woman's husband and son, who attacked them with sharp-edged weapon.

IG (Law and Order) R K Vishwakarma said here that the couple had eloped nearly one-and-a-half years ago from Alwara village of the district, and when they returned yesterday, they were attacked by the 50-year-old woman's husband and son.

Both of them died on the spot.

The accused Devi and his son Nanka have been arrested, he added.
