Couple run over and killed by train

A couple was run over and killed by a train near Belur railway station today, police said.

The couple identified as Biswajit Saha (42) and his wife Sushma Saha (37) residents of Sheoraphuli in Hooghly district was run over and killed by local train near Belur railway station, the Government Railway Police said.

We have send the bodies for postmortem and are investigating the matter, they added.
