A local court here today awarded life imprisonment to a man for killing an eight-year-old boy over old enmity in Bihar's Nawada district three years ago.
Additional District and Sessions (ADJ) judge Om Prakash Srivastava found Dhananjay Yadav guilty of murdering the minor boy.
According to an FIR lodged at Govindpur Police Station, the incident occurred on January 27, 2015 at Harnarainpur village.
Yadav tied the eight-year-old boy, Sujit Kumar, to a tree and beat him up mercilessly till he died, the FIR said.
The deceased's mother Chinta Devi had lodged a complaint against Yadav.
