Slamming BJP, CPI(M) today said the coalition government between the saffron party and PDP, which have contradicting ideologies, has been formed for the "greed of power".

"This government has been formed on a major contradiction for the greed of power. Two parties which have different ideology have come together and now the question is that they must show the resolve to enforce their CMP so that people don't suffer," CPI(M) politburo member and Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechury told reporters here.

He said that even as BJP has entered into an alliance with PDP and agreed not to raise the issue of revocation of Article 370, the RSS continues to demand its revocation.

"BJP is a part of RSS and RSS leaders continue to say that Article 370 must go. The BJP which is now a part of state government in Jammu and Kashmir does not say a single word on it. There is a big contradiction," he said.

On the issue of holding dialogues with Pakistan in the wake of twin terror attacks in Jammu last week, Yechury said, "We have always been saying that the doors for dialogue should not be shut and there must also be no compromise on the security of the country. But post attacks, dialogue becomes mandatory to tell them to stop this," he said.

He also accused the state and central government of ignoring the state saying nothing much has been done after it suffered losses during the flood of September last year.

"Nothing has changed, post floods we had come, nothing much has been done on the ground, the promises you made with the people must be fulfilled," he said.

He said his party had asked the government to declare the floods of Jammu and Kashmir as a national disaster which the Narendra Modi led government refused.

"We asked them to declare floods as a national disaster. They said there is no such policy. We then asked them if you cannot declare it as a national disaster, start treating it like a one, but they have done nothing," he said.
