Croatia has selected "The High Sun" directed by Dalibor Matanic as the official entry in the Best Foreign Language category of Oscars.
A 15 member committee drawn by Filmmakers Association of Croatia, including actors, directors, producers, editors and others nominated the film, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The plot moves around three different love stories set in three consecutive decades in two neighbouring villages.

The movie premiered this year in Un Certain Regard at Cannes, where it also won the jury prize.
The film starring Goran Markovic and Tihana Lazovic as war-crossed lovers focuses at the recent history of war-torn Yugoslavia in a sensitive manner.
"The High Sun," which won best director and other awards last month at the Pula Film Festival, beat six other contenders to win the national Oscar nomination.
