Crores of rupees, gold seized from flat

Several crores of rupees along with gold and other valuables have been seized from a flat here in a suspected link to a cricket betting racket, a top police official said here today.

"The raid was conducted last week based on a tip-off about the money linked to cricket betting being stashed," Director General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (Special Units & Economic Offences) H C Kishore Chandra told PTI.

The flat allegedly belongs to a senior state government official here.
