Crude palm oil prices softened by 0.15 per cent to Rs 530.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid subdued demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in June fell by 80 paise or 0.15 per cent to Rs 530.80 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 202 lots.
However, the oil for delivery in May contracts held steady at Rs 537 per 10 kg in 68 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing levels, easing demand in the spot markets against adequate stocks position, weighed on crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
