The CSE-40 index closed at 6752.19 points after opening at 6756.28 points.
Infosys Technologies gained 10 paise after opening at Rs 2537.50.
Reliance Industries gained Rs 8.90 and closed at Rs 819.
Tata Steel gained 75 paise and closed at Rs 413.
SBI gained Rs 41.60 after opening at Rs 2228.40.
