CSE index rises 72.11 points

The CSE-40 index closed at 6825.16 after opening at 6753.05 points.

Infosys Technologies gained Rs 7.20 after opening at Rs 2570.10. The scrip closed at Rs 2579.30.

Reliance Industries lost 45 paise and closed at Rs 853.

State Bank of India gained Rs 3.50 after opening at Rs 2342.50.

Tata Steel stayed flat at Rs 409.
