Death toll in Nepal floods rises to eight

Death toll in the flood-hit areas of Nepal today rose to eight after incessant rains led to landslides in the affected districts.
According to local media reports three persons, including a child, were killed in the landslide that occurred in Syangja.
In separate incidents yesterday, two persons were killed when their house was buried in Myagdi district of North-West Nepal and three others including two minors, were killed in landslides in two different villages in Palpa district, police said.

In addition to that another five people of a single family had gone missing when a house was swept away by a landslide at Marbu Village in Dolakha district of central Nepal following incessant rainfall, police said.
Police teams and the Army are trying to dig out victim trapped under the debris resulting out of landslides.
Nepal's Home Ministry reports said that the death toll from floods and landslides has gone upto 71 this season.
