Defamatory graffiti drives school girls to attempt suicide

Three 12-year-old girls tried to commit suicide by consuming poison after some miscreants scribbled defamatory remarks against them on the school wall, police said today.

The girls, studying in the eighth standard in the government school, took the extreme step after seeing the remarks, they said, adding that the three have been hospitalised and their condition was stable.

A case has been registered.
