Delhi govt sees big dip in central assistance allocation

Delhi government was today granted Rs 325 crore as central assistance in the Interim Budget 2014-15 as against last year's allocation of Rs 1,030 crore.

Separate allocations have been made under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission for some infrastructure projects.

As per revised estimates, Delhi was extended Rs 1,030 crore in 2013-14.

An allocation of Rs 463 crore has been made for the National Capital Region Planning Board, which implements various infrastructure projects in the NCR area.

State government officials said that some funds have been allocated to Delhi by, among others, the Water Resources and the Road Transport and Highways ministries.
