The Delhi Lokayukta today held BJP MLA from Kirari constituency guilty of allegedly violating norms of integrity and conduct of a 'public functionary' and recommended to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to issue an "advisory" to him.
The order by Lokayukta Justice Manmohan Sarin came following a complainant filed Bhagwan Sharma, a resident of Prem Nagar in Kirari.
The complainant had alleged that the MLA indulged in extortion of money through his associates in the constituency and run a parallel administration.

Sharma, who is managing director of Shiv Shakti Thrift asnd Credit Society Ltd, had alleged that Anil Jha visited the office of the Society in April 2009 and demanded that the Rs one lakh and an Air Conditioner.
He alleged that on refusal to pay the amount, Jha had forwarded number of complaints made by one Ram Dayal Mehto against the society to the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Following investigation, Lokayukta held Jha guilty of allegedly intimidating Sharma.
The Lokayukta recommended to Jung that a "reprimand" be issued to the MLA for demanding contribution from the complainant which is in violation of the norms of integrity and conduct expected of a 'public functionary'.
