Demonstration in JU for immediate student union polls

Two student unions of University on Friday demonstrated in the campus to press for their demand that students union elections, overdue for two years, be held at the earliest.

Arts Faculty (AFSU) and the Faculty of (FETSU) demonstrated before the main administrative building, AFSU Debraj Debnath said.

No election to the university students' body had taken place in the past two years and said the authorities owed an explanation to the students on this issue, he said.
