Devotees worship at mLord Murugan temples

Thousands of devotees today worshiped at the Lord Subramaniaswamy temples at Palani, Tiruparankunram and Tiruchendur on the auspicious "Vaikasi Vishakam Day today.

The ten day festival, famous for sound and music, started on May12, when the idol of presiding deity Muruga was taken around the temple.

The devotees offered milk abhishekam to the "Vel" (spear) of Lord Murugan fulfilling their vow.

The festival would endtomorrow, officials said.
