DRI arrests one with gold worth Rs 1.53 crore in Gujarat

The officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) today arrested a person with 5.6 kg of smuggled gold worth Rs 1.53 crores.

Adam Khamisha Bhokal was arrested at a bus stop in Aradhana Dham area last evening, DRI said in a statement.

Bhokal was carrying gold biscuits in a bag. During inquisition, he admitted that the biscuits had been smuggled into the country by the sea-route, DRI said.
