Dry weather in UP, Orai coldest at 7.0 C

Weather was mainly dry in the Uttar Pradesh even as dense to moderate fog occurred at few places over the state.

MeT office here said that night temperatures fell appreciably in Agra, rose in Varanasi and Allahabad and changed a little in the remaining divisions of the state.

They were markedly above normal in Faizabad and Allahabad; appreciably above normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly and Jhansi and were normal in the remaining divisions of the state.

Lowest minimum temperature in the state was 7.0 degrees Celsius recorded at Orai.

MeT officials forecast that weather would be mainly dry but dense to moderate fog would occur at few places over the state.
