Dwayne Johnson joins disaster film 'San Andreas'

Actor Dwayne Johnson has signed on to star in the upcoming disaster film "San Andreas".

The "Fast & Furious" star will play a rescue helicopter pilot in the project from New Line, reported Deadline.

His character travels through an earthquake-ravaged California in the film, while trying to locate his family.

Johnson will reunite with "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" director Brad Peyton for the project.

The wrestler will star next be seen "Fast & Furious 7".
