Elderly farmer found dead in Rajasthan

A 72-year-old farmer sleeping near his farm well was found dead early this morning at Bijwar village in Alwar district, police said.

The deceased was identified as Moolchand Saini, Shahjanpur police told PTI on telephone.

Apparently Saini was hit on head and the gold ear-rings (mundari) he was wearing were missing, police said.

A case of murder has been registered against unidentified accused on the FIR of deceased's relatives.

The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem, they said.
