A 70-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room in the Sidhauli area here, police said.
Harinandan, a resident of Moorcha village, was found dead in the morning, they said.
His son, Dilip, told the police that the deceased had a bank loan of over Rs 2 lakh and had written letters to the authorities for its waiver.
He was under immense pressure ever since the bank had sent him notices for recovery of loan, Dilip said.
