Engineer, clerk of Raj mines dept arrested for taking bribe

An assistant engineer and clerk of the state mines department were today arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for allegedly taking Rs one lakh from a client for the transfer of his mining lease, at Rishabhdev in Udaipur district.
Assistant engineer Dhuleshwar Meena and clerk Motilal Meena were booked under sections of the Anti-Corruption Act, a spokesman said here.
Dhuleshwar had demanded Rs one lakh from Badrilal Jagetia for transferring his lease papers.
On a complaint by Jagetia, the ACB organised a trap and caught Dhuleshwar and clerk Motilal Meena, the spokesman said.
