Essar Shipping today reported widening of consolidated net loss at Rs 43.93 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.
The company's net loss in the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal was at Rs 11.20 crore, Essar Shipping said in a filing to the BSE.
The total income from operations of the company went up to Rs 502.85 crore, over Rs 491.52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal, Essar Shipping said.
On standalone basis, the company reported a net profit of Rs 34.75 crore in the July-September quarter.
However, the company had reported a standalone net loss of Rs 41.46 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY14, it said.
The total income from operations of the company came down to Rs 221.17 crore as compared with over Rs 225.31 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.
Shares of Essar Shipping closed at Rs 22.55 a piece on the BSE, down 0.22 per cent from the previous close.
