A factory allegedly involved in illegal manufacturing of gutka was sealed following a raid at the premises in Gujarat's Chhotaudepur district, an official said today.
A team of Excise and Customs officials raided the unit in Chhotaudepur's Kumbhani village, located about 120 kms from here, on Wednesday evening and yesterday.
"Three brands of gutka products were being manufactured and packed in plastic pouches," a senior Excise official told PTI over phone.

Ten gunny sacks of gutka products were recovered from the site. Six machines engaged in the manufacturing of gutka products were also confiscated, he said.
The factory, located at a remote area in the village bordering Madhya Pradesh, did not have registration and was operating illegally for over one year, he said.
Six workers of the factory were also questioned.
The factory authorities are estimated to have allegedly avoided payment of Excise duty worth Rs 60-70 crore, he said.
The Gujarat government had in September 2012 prohibited sale, storage and distribution of gutka.
