Farmer dies after coming in contact with electricity cable

A farmer died after he came in contact with a live electricity cable when he was returning from his fields in the Taarganj area here, the police said today.

"Suresh Kumar (45), a farmer was returning to his home with a bunch of grass late last evening, when he came in contact with an electricity cable. This resulted in his death on the spot," SDM, Aonla, MP Singh said.

Police said that the body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem.
