A fire broke out at the godown of Municipal Corporation here this morning which gutted three vehicles belonging to the civic body.
Fire station officer Arun Kumar Singh said that at around 9.10 am, a call was received at the fire service control upon which three fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot and tried to douse the flames but it spread very soon and engulfed the godown.
It took two hours to bring the inferno under control, he said.

Three vehicles, two water tankers, one tractor and several old used tyres were gutted in the fire, which took place out of sparking, when a fogging-machine fitted vehicle was started by the driver, Singh said.
An inquiry has been initiated to ascertain the cause of fire, said Mukhya Nagar Aayukt (MNA) Abdul Samad.
