Fireworks factory explosion: One more succumbs to wounds

The toll in the fire works factory explosion rose to two with one more person succumbing to injuries at a hospital here today, police said.

One worker was killed and three others were seriously injured in the explosion which occurred yesterday due to friction while chemicals were being mixed for making fancy crackers.

About 120 workers were working in the factory at T Manavacheri when the explosion occurred, and most of them managed to escape.

Meanwhile, cases were registered against three persons, including the owners of the factory in connection with the incident, police said.
