Fishermen did not venture into sea

Heavy rains and rough sea prevented fishermen from venturing into the sea for the third day today, officials said.

They said the fishermen in the coastal districts including Nagapattinam, Pudukottai and Ramanathapuram had been advised not to venture into the sea as the sea was rough and the wind speed was high.

The officials said the rains would continue for two days.
