Five persons including a couple died when a Sport Utility Vehicle hit two motorcycles near Dolaria in the district this afternoon.
The accident took place on Betul-Temagaon road, police said.
Sub Divisional Officer of Police S K Gehlot said the speeding SUV hit the two motorcycles coming from the opposite direction.
Jan Mohammed (56) and Khalil Khan (60) who were riding one motorcycle and Rakesh Uike (32), his wife Pramila (30) and brother-in-law Devi Singh (22) who were on the other two-wheeler were killed in the accident, he said.
The SUV driver has been arrested, said Rehatgaon police station in-charge Rakesh Gaur.
