A Riyadh-bound passenger was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here after he was allegedly found carrying a country-made pistol, a forbidden item, during the security check, officials said today.

Officials said the incident occurred yesterday at about 4 PM when a person identified as Imran was going through security check and baggage scan at terminal-III before his departure to Riyadh.

On duty CISF officials detected a country-made pistol in his bag.

The Central Industrial Security Force later handed him over to Delhi police which arrested him under the Arms Act, they said.
