Fonsi forgives Bieber for forgetting 'Despacito' lyrics

Singer Luis Fonsi says he has forgiven Justin Bieber for fumbling the lyrics of the Spanish song "Despacito" at a recent public gig in New York.

The 39-year-old musician says despite being a Spanish singer, he finds the words in the song difficult and the episode is a matter in the past, reported Rolling Stone.

"That chorus is not easy to sing, even for fluent Spanish singers like myself. It's got a lot of lyrics, it's kind of tongue-twisty," says Fonsi.

The Puerto Rican singer adds Bieber's involvement in the Spanish song has put the Latin music on world map.
 

"It's big for Latin music that a global star like Justin Bieber takes the time to do the song, to do it in Spanish. I've done songs in other languages, I know how hard it is," he says.
