Forensic Science Laboratory inaugurated

The forensic science laboratory (FSL) was established in 1998 and attached at the headquarters of the third battalion of the Mizoram Armed Police at Mualpui in Aizawl with only chemistry division.

The FSL now has seven divisions - Chemistry, Ballistics &Toolmark, Questioned Document, Finger Print, Serology, Photography and Toxicology.

The 45-member FSL team is led by a Joint Director and functioned under the Police department.
