: Senior Congress leader T Manemma, wife of former Andhra Pradesh chief minister late T Anjaiah, died at a private hospital here Sunday following brief illness, official sources said.
Manemma (76), who was not keeping well, was hospitalised recently and her end came around noon, the sources said.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Raoexpressed his condolences over the demise of Manemma, a former Lok Sabha member and a two-time legislator of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
She had won the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat in 1989 and from the Musheerabad Assembly constituency in the city in 2008 (byelection) and again in the 2009 polls.
An official release said, Rao expressed condolences to the members of the bereaved family and instructed the Chief secretary to make arrangements for a state funeral for Manemma.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy also condoled Manemma's death.
