Former Raj BJP MLA Nandlal Vyas no more

Former BJP MLA from Bikaner, Nandlal Vyas, passed away this evening at a hospital here following a prolonged battle with cancer. He was 64.

Vyas served as the MLA from Bikaner between 1993 and 1998. However, when in 1998, the party refused to give him a poll ticket, Vyas contested as an independent candidate and came second in the contest for the said Assembly seat.

Family sources said that Vyas had been battling cancer for the last eight months and was four days back admitted to PBM Hospital in the city where he breathed his last this evening.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.
