Found underage, replacement of woman candidate recommended

The Rajasthan BJP today recommended to the party high command cancellation of ticket for upcoming state assembly polls to a woman who was found underage.

Priyanka Balan, who was given ticket to contest from Anupgath constituency, was found underage, a BJP spokesman said.

A complaint was referred to state party leaders that Balan was below 25 years, he said.

It was found true prompting the state unit to recommend to the high command her replacement by another candidate, the spokesman said.
