Air Force Marshal Arjan Singh will be among the dignitaries attending the foundation stone laying ceremony of a museum tomorrow, dedicated to defence personnel who laid down their lives for the country.
Three retired Army chiefs and two former Navy heads will also attend the ceremony for the 'Punjab State War Heroes Memorial and Museum', being set up to remember the gallantry services rendered by the Army, an official spokesperson said today.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal held a meeting with the top brass of the state government and renowned personalities from the Armed forces to give the final touches to this event, the spokesperson said.

Former Army chiefs Shankar Rai Chaudhary, Deepak Kapur and J J Singh, besides ex-Navy heads Madhvender Singh and V S Sekhawat are expected to attend this event, he said.
Students from Sainik School, Kapurthala, P P S Nabha, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Institute, Mohali, and NCC cadets of senior division of Amritsar would also participate in the function, he said.
Several retired defence personnel, including former chiefs and awardees of Parmveer Chakar, Mahaveer Chakar and its equivalent will be honoured by Badal during the function, he said.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government announced a holiday tomorrow for all ex-servicemen working in the state, the spokesperson said.
"Only the ex-servicemen (military, widows and refugees) working in all government offices, boards or corporations and educational institutes have been granted a holiday tomorrow," the spokesperson said.
