Four drug peddlers arrested, 38 kg ganja seized

Four drug-peddlers from two different gangs were today arrested in two separate cases and 38 kg of ganja was recovered, police said.

"On a tip-off, we rounded up Chhagan Jogilal and Shekhar Goswami and recovered 21 kg of ganja from their motorbike in Khudel area," said Superintendent of Police Yusuf Qureshi.

Manohar Ramaji and Mangilal Khati, who belonged to another gang, were arrested subsequently on another tip-off and 17 kg of ganja was recovered from their moped in Simrol area.

All four were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and further investigation was on, Qureshi added.
