Four killed in road accident in Howrah

Four persons were killed and five others injured when a jeep in which they were travelling overturned on National Highway 6 near Birshibpur in the district today.

The incident happened when their vehicle turned turtle after hitting a road divider killing four persons, including the driver on the spot, a police official said.

All the injured were admitted to a hospital, he said.

The victims were coming to Kolkata from East Midnapur district to see off a relative at the airport, the official added.
