Hollywood beauty Megan Fox skipped 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Beijing premiere after developing skin allergy.
Fans hoping to spot Fox on the red carpet were left disappointed after the 28-year-old actress's skin allergy forced her to stay at home, reported Us magazine.
Chinese actress Fan Bingbing attended the special event in her place.
Chinese media outfits speculated that Fox's allergy could have been caused by the polluted air.
Fox's people, however, insisted that that was not the case.
"She had an allergic reaction but not because of the pollution," a spokesperson said.
The adventure comedy, which was released in the United States this past August, is based on the popular franchise that features a fictional team of four teenage turtles.
