A gang broke into a house here and decamped with gold ornaments weighing 50 sovereigns besides cash, police said today.
The gang armed with knives tied up the house owner, a retired government auditor at his home last night and then took his wife to an ATM where they withdrew Rs 40,000 after which they released her, police said.
The total cash looted including from the house and ATM was Rs 1.5 lakh, police said.
