Mizoram Excise and Narcotics
department officials today seized 5.98 kilos of ganja (cannabis) at Rangvamual near Aizawl, an excise department spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said that a woman belonging to the Bru community Bisno Rong (38) of Naisingpara relief camp in North Tripra district was arrested for alleged possession of the contraband worth about Rs 9000.
The accused was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
