Girl among two killed in lightning strike, four injured

Two persons, including a girl, were killed and four others were injured when they were struck by a lightning at Dimbe village in Shahapur taluka in the district this evening, an official said.

The deceased were identified as Sarika Chowdhari (14) and Budhaji Agiwale (50), district disaster officer informed.

"The duo was killed and four others were injured when the lightning struck at a residential locality in the village," the officer added.

The injured have been admitted to a local hospital, he said.
