Girl drowns in Ganga

A seven-year-old girl drowned in

the Ganga at Chintaman Chak village in Patna district today.

Three other children were, however, saved on time by the locals.

Police officials said the incident happened when several persons from a family, including four children, went to take a bath in the river.

The four children moved into deep water with their elders but tripped.

Local people went to the spot after hearing their cries and managed to pull out the three.
