A 15-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by her two neighbours at Krishak Nagar locality here, police said.
The incident took place last night and the two accused-- Ravi Kushwaha (22) and Shankar Kushwaha (23)-- have been arrested, police said.
The girl, a Class VII student, was on her way to buy snacks from a shop near her place in Krishak Nagar around 9 pm last night, when the accused waylaid her and took her to an under-construction site nearby, where they sexually assaulted her, Nishatpura Police Station Inspector Manish Mishra said.
Although the duo fled from the spot after the incident, they were later arrested by police following a complaint lodged by the minor.
"The accused were booked on the charge of gangrape and under relevant sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. A medical test was conducted on the victim," he added.
Further investigation is on.
