After the mishap, several persons including students of Guru Jambheshwar University and Polytechnic College staged dharna, pelted stones on roadways buses and blocked roads demanding construction of speed brakers on routes prone to accidents.
Traffic on Hisar-Chandigarh, Hisar-Delhi national highway and Hisar-Sirsa highway remained suspended for several hours as the agitated crowd blocked vehicular traffic on these routs, they said.
The agitating students also demanded stoppage of roadways buses near the college.
Meanwhile, in view of the blockage, traffic on the affected routes was diverted.
