A total of 47 services under 13 different departments would be brought under the act during the first phase from April this year.
The act, which was passed last year, was intended to ensure better delivery of public services which the government was mandated to provide to citizens.
Expressing satisfaction over steps taken by the Administrative Reforms and Training Department on action for implementation of the act, "Necessary infrastructure may be created and officers and staff may be trained adequately."
Gogoi asked all departments for review of their Result Framework Document for the current financial year this month and prepare the RFD for next financial year by April, 2013.
He directed that from the next financial year all directorates would also prepare their RFD. 48 departments have prepared RFD for the current financial year.
The act would provide rights to citizens to get notified public services within a definite timeframe and also fixed responsibility on public servants to provide them in a time-bound manner.
Gogoi also reviewed the progress on implementation of Public Grievance Redressal and Monitoring System, under which a citizen could file a grievance online as well as through central call center and ascertain its status.
The meeting was attended by the Assam Chief Secretary Naba Kumar Das, Principal Secretary (Administrative Reforms & Training) Rajiv Bora and other senior officials.
